I passed the first writing class so I am confident for the second. The papers are a lot harder to write. We had to write four papers within the semester and a final paper before it ends. I am excited, curious and nervous at the same time when it is time to check the grades but those feelings would be quickly altered by disappointment. I got failing grades on all four papers but I thought this should not affect my confidence. Before writing the final paper, I went through all those four papers and looked where I went wrong. Keeping the corrections and comments in mind, I wrote the final paper and I was very happy when I received a passing grade.
A REFLECTIVE ESSAY This is a reflective essay based on a event which took place in a hospital setting. The aim of this essay is to explore how members of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) worked together and communicate with each other to achieve the best patients outcome. Reflection is an everyday process and is very personal matter. Jasper (2003) suggests that reflection is one of the key ways in which we can learn from our experiences. Reflective practice can be defined as process of making sense of events, situations and actions that occur in the workplace (Oelofsen, 2012). There are a different models of reflection.
Reflective essays are intended to analyze and write about life, personality and important encounters – and at the same time reflect on how certain events changed, developed or influenced the writer. The essays provide individuals to express personal emotions, attitudes, and mind-sets with regard to extreme incidences and events. It is important to note that reflective essays are perhaps one of the fewest papers or documents that enable students and scholars to express themselves without significant limitations that come with academia.
